很晕，上一篇居然是interview之前的。。。之后又发生了多少事情啊。。

突然又用这个写东西，主要是因为MSN的那个，老爸老妈也能看见。有些东西还是会不像让他们看到，不是可以隐瞒，只是不认为他们可以很顺利地接受。如果让他们有什么误解，要我花很多时间去解释，那还不如不让他们看到。张韶涵的一首叫MAMA的歌里，就是唱了这样的感觉。我本以为张韶涵在台湾应该还挺红的，可是好像不是。。

我想写的是昨天到今天用了挺长时间看的一篇BL的文章。故事写得挺不错的。之前看仙流的一篇文也用了很久。。真佩服那些人可以写那么长，构思那样长的一个故事一定很辛苦。最近看了很多同人的故事和漫画。昨天晚上看的“康熙来了”也正好请了三个男同性恋，其中一个其实是双性恋。同人，喜欢的人一定不会说成是gay,用gay这样的字眼就好像加紧了很多鄙视的东西。同人的话，就像绝爱里最经典的一句：我不是同性恋，只是我爱上的人碰巧是个男的。并不是很喜欢绝爱，因为很辛苦，爱的好累哦，而且晃司有点BT的感觉。
记得以前曾经做过一个小问卷之类的，中间又问到如果朋友中出现同性恋，能不能接受。当时我的回答是不能。其实现在也还是，因为那些觉得现实中的同性恋真的是给画成了一个样，就是给人不舒服的感觉。其实也只有在漫画和小说中才能看着让人觉得不难受，因为漫画中的人可以很漂亮，就可以直接把中间的那个小受当成是女生就行了。现实中，会有些受不了。不过那天康熙来了中的那个双性恋给人的感觉真的很舒服，一点都不做作，虽然他也有修眉毛和化妆，但真得让人觉得很舒服的那种，因为他真的很漂亮。所以写了这许多的结论就是，可能还是要因人而异，不知道如果我的朋友之中真的出现这样的人，我会怎样处理。抑或者，我压根就回去回避这些人？不过，真的不想承认自己并不是那么包容。。。

First interview on Jan 6th

Suprisingly, I will have my first interview from USC on Jan 6th. I only submitted the application a week before and almost the last minute (as always), but they said they are going to conduct a phone interview. Joseph said it's good to have an interview early, which means they are interested in me and I might be on the top of their list. So what I need to do now is to prepare for it. haha, I was kidding. I know I won't start preparing for it until January... Let's have a nice Christmas break first~~~

Ya, as said in the title, i am going to have a final one hour later. but I am still blogging.. I am not well prepared, not at all, but I am not using my last time carefully.. That final is only 25% for the final and it's somehow hard that you don't know how detail the prof gonna test you and from the sample questions that he gave us, I don't think revision can help a lot. He simply asked a lot of details that didn't appear in the notes. perhaps he talked about those in lectures, but I skipped many classes because the class is boring and somehow too late... it's 5pm.... anyway, do some final revision la~~~~

I think I just got too much things to do this semester, so I couldn't do anything well... I messed things up.... Could you please lend me some of your luck? Hope God can see my effort.. More and more recently, I talked about God, perhaps now I am really believing in God.. Well, what I am going to say is that, God, if you are really existing among us, please do me a favor, or play some magic for me... A Christian won't say this way i know, so I am not a Christian yet.. hehe... I really hope there is someone who can play some magic for me.. still upset...

That girl asked for my notes again.. and I replied her email as "You should go to lectures and take notes by yourself".. I will feel bad if at last, she gets my notes and scores higher than me in the final, but also, I feel bad as not lending her my notes. I am not a mean person like that. But she seldom went to lectures even when she definitely knew the importance of the lectures. She relied on me, while i feel so unfair for me.. I guess in my heart, I am now affected by some of the Christian thoughts.. So I am condemning myself being selfish. Anyway, wait and see. I think if she sees me in person and asks for it, i will lend it to her.

Yeah, long time no updating my blog.. It's more than one month already..
During this month, I have finished GRE, midterms, and piles of homeworks. I have written a lot this half an year: first it's for GRE writing test. Then PS for the applications. Also I still have lots of written assignments, including two proposals and one 20-page report. I did write a lot.. but i didn't feel my English is improved as you might see from my bolg... >.<'
I am still waiting for GRE scores, which should arrive recently. Actually i can call them and check my score, but don't know.. I did call once, but the line was busy. So i gave up. I have already requested for additional score report. So it doesn't really make any difference. Well, it might release some worries in my heart, especially when you know people around you have already known their scores. Their scores are not good, rubbish scores....
Application is a tedious work, so many thanks to Joseph who always goads me behind. Now i am going to have four finals.. All the scores for my exams and assignments except for two midterms (one is 25% and the other is 40%) are acceptable. So work hard in these final two weeks and get rid of this semester.. I hope I can still maintain a CGA within A range, as to accomplish Joseph's requirement to get XX Medal when graduate.
So I need to work hard and review for my courses. However, what I wanna do now is go back to my room, have some chips and play games. I played a lot of Diablo II recently, even when I had tongs of works on my desk.. Perhaps this semester is too tough for me that high pressures just have an opposite effect on me. I was tired and didn't wanna work, and then left the work to the last minutes, which made me even tired after intense working... so now, I am tired again and don't wanna work... That is so-called 恶性循环！！
Going home soon anyway. Miss the food at home.. As TK (a Japanese friend met in US) once said, it's always about the food~~~
Ok.. do something at least, before Joseph is pissed off by me..

First of all, I think the blog somehow has some problem.. But I have no idea what the porblem is as I am not a CS major.. hoho
Second, I am working on my GRE. I don't dare to say I am working hard as I am not working hard. Joseph got a fever yesterday so I had an excuse to not study. I knew it was bad, both for him and me. But I can't help that. Fortunately, Joseph is sort of recovered today, after my tendance..
Last but not the least, if you are Christian or whatever your religion is, please please prey to your god or whatever for good health for Joseph and reasonable score for my GRE. Well, I think above 600 will be a reasonable score. See, I am not that avaricious.
Forgot one important thing, grandma is going to have an operation about her stomach today, i mean Oct. 11th., hope her operation goes smooothly!!! A successful operation, please!!

Nothing can be more unsurprising than the first day of school for a Year 3 college student. Lectures, introductions, classmates, all the same.. except there are so many people from Mainland China this year that you can hear putonghua everywhere. Don't know, i don't really like it just as i don't like the feeling of seeing all asian faces walking out of lecture theaters in UCI. As it is called Hong Kong unversity of science and Technology, by no ways should there be that many mainland people. I can speak fluent cantonese and I know most of the tricks here, so Don't look at me in the same way of looking at those new comers!

P.S., high-heel shoes are never comfortable.. My feet are killed by my high-heel sandals. >.<'

It's not always hard for me to say goodbye, but this time, it's so hard.... Perhaps I was too young to understand the meaning of saying goodbye; perhaps I always knew it's just several months, just half an year. But this time, all these don't work any more. I don't know how long I have to wait for the next time to see the friends here. My heart hurts when thinking about the fact that I might not be able to see some of the people here ever after.... :'(

A week full of disappointment

How many times did I feel disappointed for the past week? ten times,
hundred of times or thousand of times? First, I couldn't go to SF as I
planned and that was the last chance that I can go. Then, with some
damn problems, my order for my dad's digital camera was cancelled for
twice. The money I spent for the shippment raised from 10 to 20 to 30
at last. It's actually free if using the slowest shipping which might
take 7 to 10 days. As my order was cancelled again and again, I can
only choose the fastest shippment so that it could arrive on time.
Later, I received an email from Amazon.com, saying they couldn't
deposit the money i got from selling one book into my account.. Last,
hope this would be the last one.. I planned to go to watch a horse race
with them tonight as a compensation for the SF trip (they said it's a
compensation since if i went to SF, I wouldn't be able to go with them
tonight.). However, one of my friends didn't feel well these two days
and they decided not to go... What can I say, what can I
do...............

Don't know what I did wrong recently, I just have no luck, which makes me in a really bad mood. The whole thing is just frustrating.. It's my last week in US, but seems not too much good memories until now.. When men feel frustration, they will turn it into anger while women will become depressed when frustrated. I am pretty much depressed now.. I guess a cup of coffee will do me good now, but I don't have coffee at home.. =( I am sleepy...

The only hope I have now is I can receive all the goods I ordered before I leave here. Otherwise it will be a complete mess.... Also, I can close my account without any problem. Last thing, hope that professor can reply me so that I can talk to her face to face..

Got a little bit disappointed, a little bit upset, a little bit worried this morning.. but seems that it's over, after a cup of coffee~~~ I love coffee! Coffee makes my life cheerful =)

I am going to SF by myself. I have never tried been on a trip alone. Well, I always fly by myself, from Nanjing to HK, HK to US, but trip is a different thing. I have tried my best to find a companion, but failed.. The only time that works for me doesn't work for others.. It's OK, since it would be a new experience. Someone said I am always willing to try novel things.. I guess I inherited that from my dad. I miss dad. I am dad's girl. :P

I didn't choose to go to the Angel's stadium, joining the upbeat summerfest. I am not that kind of outdoor person. I hate sweating and I know I will keep on sweating in such a hot day.. My room is not that hot, but pretty cool now. It's really comfortable to listen to 陶吉吉's songs in such an afternoon. Now I got some of the feelings I used to have in summer holiday.. Wish everyone, especially people who are reading my blogs, enjoy the summer. =)

Today is the independence day of America, which is a national day.. And I had TWO BBQ. Could you believe that?!! Originally, I just planned to go one, but later, Athena, one of my best friend here asked me to join her BBQ at her place. Since I didn't really have other plan for the lunch, so I went there and ate a lot.. I can barely move when I left her place. And then I went to another BBQ, and ate again... It's kind of painful now.. :P just kidding.. But I really don't need to have any meals tomorrow.. wow.. it's crazy... I know why American people are fat... I will be even fatter if my life goes like this. Fortunately, they only have one independence day...

We had a little bit fireworks at the second BBQ. and when I arrived home, I saw the fireworks show in NY. I think it's in NY as I can sort of recognize those buildings and bridges at Manhattan.. Perhaps we should go to east coast a little bit later so that we can watch the show lively... It's so different to see a fireworks show lively..

Anyway, I have a nice independent day, with lots of good food!!

Is there anything special today?

I stayed at home for almost the whole week and as usual, I got bored a little bit. So last night, when I talked to a friend, I told her I wanna watch movie. She said, let's go tomorrow night. I thought, it's great since it's Friday night and I wanna have some fun, rather than staying at home, watching boring tv.

And then, this afternoon, Jason first asked about my plan for later today. He and his gf is going to beach and they wanna invite me to go with them. What my answer could be? I have some plan and I can't go with your guys. Just half an hour later, Shing left a whole bunch of messages on my MSN, telling me there is a small party at his place tonight. I can't go neither... Well, perhaps I should go to the party since it's for the people in the lab and I can see movie tomorrow.... But I do wanna watch movies, especially when you already got excited about seeing movies.. :S

It's hot!! I can't believe myself told other people it's cool here. Well, it's cool in my room, but not outside.. IT'S SO HOT!!!

I went to post office to ship one of my textbooks to someone in Chicago, and on the way home, I dediced to get something for myself. What I got are chips, ice cream and soda.. That's not what I planned. I planned to lose some weight before I go back home. Although I am not those Korean girls who are forced on diet by their mums, I am still willing to lose some weight.. It's summer.. I don't wanna those extra weight.. However, chips, ice cream, with all these stuff, how can I lose weight?!! >.<'' Also, hot day makes me sleepy and lazy...

So, don't go out on hot days....

Firnally, I got started working on this tedious and boring stuff.. It's not only boring, but also tough and requires a lot of persistence, which I don't have that much.. For the first day, I recited 600 words per day. That's not bad but the problem is that I didn't spend a lot of time in reviewing them. As I am doing A and B parts, which I had recited at least twice, little review is not a big problem, but not for the later part. Anyway, I don't have any other choice now, I have to do that. Sigh.... The most frustrating thing is that there are some words that you can't remember for the first time, after several times or several round, you found out that you still can't remember those words, such as abjure, abject, abrogate... It sucks....

After the finals, the trip to the east coast, my summer in US starts at last. Let me first comment on the finals and the trip.

The finals are OK as the grades are pretty much acceptable, especially when considering the fact that I only started studying in the last two weeks before the finals.. Such an experience told me that I can both play and study at the same time. However, it sucked before the finals since there were simply too much to read and memorize. Another thing is that if you really wanna learn something, you need to concentrate on study. I can play and study and got almost all A, but I know I didn't learn those subjects that well in US. I guess it's the problem with my goal here. Somehow the only thing I care about study here is the grade not the study itself. Anyway, hope this grade can help me in future.

OK, then it comes the trip. I spent a whole week in east coast with Jason, James and Licong. I can write pages and pages about it simply because there were so many stories. But I am lazy, so just write some the most strong impressions or experience I had... First of all, touring around is an exhausting thing. I could see my face getting more and more unhealthy everyday in the mirror. I had big black circles around my eyes, my skin became dry and dark. It got dark because of the sunshine in DC, but more important, lack of sleep. I didn't know that I am that picky about the bed and the room. I used to sleep by myself so sharing the bed with other made my sleep even worse. I seldom had sound sleep during the trip. I woke up in the morning by myself, which made me a good alarm!! I just felt sleepy all day long... that's not good. :(

The trip itself was GREAT. We visited NY, DC and Boston as planned. The three days in NY was just full of excitement and amazement. NY is not that dangerous and dirty as I heard before I went. We can walk on the street at 11pm without worrying about being rubbered by someone. I guess those scary things normally happen only in some districts, like the hamley area. As long as we are outside those area, NY is pretty safe. There are few homeless or jobless on the street as they do in LA downtown. I would say NY is safer than LA downtown.. Althought the NY subway statiions suck, but the whole system is just so cool. You can travel around easily with a pass. We visited almost all the places of interest we should go in NY. We also watched the phantom of the opera and a baseball game. It were just three excellent days!

Then the trip became a little bit harder, especially for Jason, our only driver! Jason is a good driver while I am a not too bad navigator.. But I made several serious mistakes at some time that no mistakes were allowed.. I will talk about that later, so hold on!! Driving between cities took longer time then we expected. The freeway system on the east coast SUCKS! First of all, it's not FREE-way. They were just rubbering!! Second, the speed limit is about 60mph something. You can't drive too fast as all the other cars are not that fast. Third, the signs on the freeway were confusing. I guess they try to put all the details along the road, but the only result is confusion!! Fourth, there were so many road constructions at night, which made the traffic so bad. They usually have three lanes for freeway normally, two of which will be closed during the road construction. Using only one lane, you can imagine the traffic. It just drove me nuts. I never sait that much sh*t in my life. I don't say those rude words normally, no matter in which language. But the traffic drove me nuts, especially when you are catching a flight. that's the later story.

Due to the traffic on the freeway, the time we spent in DC and Boston were far less than enough. We only used about a day for DC, the national mall and less than one day for Boston. We finished touring around Harvard and MIT in three hours. It's simply getting there, taking some photos, grabbing some souvenir and leave! But still, the two cities are great, especially Boston and Harvard. I got a lot of motivation after I went to Harvard. The campus is just gorgeous, and the atmosphere is so good. I am loving it!! I fall in love with Harvard!! I really wish I can go there. And if I can get a diploma from there, life is going to be so easy for me. So work hard on GRE in summer!!

One funny thing during the whole trip was that we four people are typical Chinese that we always delayed one hour as our plan. When we planned to leave the hotel at 9am, usually we won't leave until 10am.. The same thing happened when we drove from Boston to JFK. Our flight left at 6:25pm, but we didn't arrive in the airport until 7:30. Will you believe that we used about 7 hours to finish 210 mile. It's just ridiculous, 30 miles per hour... We had four traffic jam on the whole way. It just SUCKED. and then when we got closer to NYC, I made two mistakes, one of which just made it impossible to arrive in airport on time. We turned left when we should turn right, and then it's just nuts. We drove to New Jersey when we shouldn't. I was so frustrated on the way that I almost cried at some point. Thanks to Jason that remained calm, at least seemed calm to me and drove safely. However, we got a flight at last and the good thing was that the flight we took was a non-stop flight while the original flight we should take was a one-stop flight. And as they didn't charge us for delaying the flight, we actually earned something and arrived home pretty much as schedule.

I like being a navigator, but navigator can't fall asleep on the way... :( Anyway, I don't think I can sleep well on the car.

So it's pretty much the brief story about the whole trip. There were so many funny stories on the trip, like someone drove directly to the toilet, almost hit a wire pole as looking at a girl.... Those are really good memories. I will put my photos online asap. I need to change their names otherwise I myself will forget which is which soon.. But there are about 500 pictures. :P

The summer holiday starts now. I don't know what I can do here except working on my GRE. I still hope I can do something in the lab, and do more!! And I wanna go to SF. All my friends have their gf with them now.. Jason's gf arrived yesterday, Shing's gf arrived before the finals and TK is just happy with his gf. Only me is single.. :'( :'( sigh............... Could you guys take me as well if you are going to somewhere for fun? OK OK, I know your time is pretty precious, so wish all of you HAPPY together! Dolphin is sending her best wish out!! Hehe.. :)

I know I need more sleep and rest, but I always woke up early in the morning. Don't tell me I am now used to six hours sleep everyday?!!

So far, I have collected: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusstts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hamspire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virgnia. 22 out of 50!!

Also, I have a coin from Paris/Bally's casino at Vegas and a coin of Boo from Disneyland! Boo is the little girl in the Monster Inc. =)

I had a long day today. Five hours lecture straight was not fun. I haven't recovered from the past weekend as I am sleepy all the time.

Anyway, I got started my review today, even though not too much progress. but at least, I got started. I have only five days left before the two dread days with three finals. And making things even more tough, all require a lot of memorization!! SUCKS!

I am heading to bed.. sleepy..

Some person kept on complaining about my blog. I am just lazy, as usual. I can seldom keep on doing one thing for a long time, like working out, like eating. I don't like to eat the same dish for more than two consecutive meals. That's what bothers me in US, as once I cooked something, I always have to eat the same dish for at least two days. I just hate that! I planned to write jounal everyday before I left HK for US. But as you know, I just stopped in one month. (I did wrote longer on my jounal, with pen, even though I only put about a week's jounals onto the website.) I am not a perseverant person, in many ways, but not all!

Ok.. final is coming. That will be the most important thing for these two weeks. After that, it will be a happy trip to the east coast! Oh, YEAH! Exciting!! So, work hard for the finals first! Ace all the finals! HAHA, day-dreaming.... I will try my best, but don't expect too much. You know what Dolphin did in the past few weeks. :P

Today is hot! But still better than a cloudy day. YEAH, it's California. It should be like this!!

I spent my morning working on the one extra credit for my psychology course. The hot weather made me a little bit slow in processing information, just like the computer.... haha.. Oh, yea, have you tested on your computer for that "bug"? Hope you got the trick. :P I was fooled by it, by evil Joseph.. >.<

I played a lot of MSN games with Joseph in the afternoon before I went to Jason's place. Jason, Licong and I spent almost five hours in making up the schedule for our GREAT trip to east coast. Although it took much longer time than I expected, we had an excellent schedule now! Exciting!! I think it will be a lot of fun! but perhaps not for Jason as he is the only person who can drive.. :P We also had dumplings at Jason's place. I love dumplings.

That's all for today.. still need to prepare for tomorrow's presentation...

I found a bug of windows and every version will have the same problem!! Click on stark -> All programs -> Accessories -> Calculator -> Type in 65536 -> Divide by 256 -> Press "="!! There is no respond at all!! Press "=" again, IT TURNS OUT TO BE 1!! Stupid Windows!!

Can you imagine a day without power at home? I am having one. My solution is: leave my home! So I am in the library now. If you wanna find me, you can come to the library. There are two libraries and each has so many floors and seats! haha, it would be a nice game!! catch me if you can!!

My weekend

This is a long weekend for me.

I went clubing on Friday night with Melody and her friends. It was a good experience although I was really goofy there.. Anyway, it was the first time for me to dance. :P As we arrived home at almost 3am (we went to Highlands at Hollywood), I stayed at Melody's place and arrived my home at 9am in the morning.

Today I went to watch movie with Jason and his friends. We watched Troy and Kill Bill 2. I prefer Troy because of HOT Brad Pitt and Orlando Broom!! One good comment on Troy is: Brad Pitt and Orlando Broom dress up in armor to impress the ladies while the special effects and war scenes should do it for the guys. So you know why Dolphin likes it. :) But it was a little bit frustrating that at last, Orlando Broom, who was quite coward in Troy, picked up his bow and defeated Brad Pitt. It's good that he becamse a brave man finally, but I don't really like him to use bow again as what he did in the lord of the ring. Jason said it might be what is written in the story. Perhaps..

I am pretty tired now, but I still have two assignments untouched. One is due tomorrow night and the other due Tuesday morning. hehe, I played too much again this weekend.

The most meaningful thing I did for this weekend was I registered for my GRE FINALLY. It also means I have to start preparing for it. :S I have only four months for the writing and five months for the paper test. And I have to subtract one month for finals and journey to the east coast. Whatever.... I have no other choice now, neither excuse....

Don't know what to write for the title. and then recalled a sign in Disneyland: This is not a sign and please don't pay attention to it. =)

Fell asleep in the science libray again in the afternoon. I always sleep in libraries.. It was not good as I got up around 10 in the morning. I shouldn't feel sleepy. After done all my classes today, I arrived home and watched Ocean's eleven. It is a good movie, with good story and superstars. But just felt that it was not a movie for watching alone. Movies are different; Some are suitable for watching alone, like 王家卫's..

Then I called Malaysia for GRE registration and got mad at last. I should get it done long ago and I promised dad that it will be done this week.. But all kinds of weird things happened... Just hope there are still places left for me... sigh...

Katherine left home at 9:30pm. I don't know where she went. When she is at home, I feel bothered even though she is so quiet. Perhaps her quietness is the thing that bothers me and perhapd I really hope her talking to me. However, when she is not at home, I feel so lonely...

Go for some watermelon. I need something to cheer me up. Why do I always feel blue these days? Perhaps I should change this template... No, I won't. I like it. ;)
